STUDY ABROAD

Semester abroad

Even though studying abroad as part of the Master in Management is not mandatory, it is possible. Most students who decide to study abroad do this in the third semester.

Information on partner universities and the application process can be found on the website of the Office of International Relations.

Learning agreements

Learning agreements are necessary for:
• the recognition of the courses taken abroad (at FAU)
• the financial processing of ERASMUS grants
• the capacity planning at the host university.

Important: Please ensure that the learning agreements include the correct module title, module number, examination title(s), and examination number(s)! This information has to be identical to the information provided on campo (Home > Studies offered > Show university course catalog > Faculty of Business, Economics and Law > Management). Please ensure to use the version relevant for you (PO 20232 or PO 20192).

More information on learning agreements can be found here.

Recognition of credits earned abroad

Courses taken abroad can only be recognized for the Master in Management if you have a signed WiSo learning agreement for a course that can be completed within the MiM (see module handbook / campo). Further, you must pass the course.

For the recognition of credits already earned abroad, please submit the following documents to Jule Holmer:

  • Official transcript of records from the foreign university
  • All relevant learning agreements
  • A completed application form for the recognition of credits.

You can find the detailed process for the recognition of credits from abroad here.

Double degree

Students enrolled in the Master in Management have the opportunity to complete their studies as a double degree program. Apart from obtaining two degrees, a double degree offers various advantages: The program promotes essential competencies such as language skills, and intercultural competencies. This combination opens up excellent perspectives in the increasingly global job market and supports personal development. Currently, students have the opportunity to complete the double degree program with the EM Strasbourg Business School (France).

General information about the option to complete a double degree can be found here. Specific information about the double degree with the EM Strasbourg can be found on the website of the Chair of Corporate Management.
